We are all unique, that each of us has something special to give the world or at least the parts of the world we are the centre of.
By nature of our own experience we come to learn an essential Wisdom about life, a wisdom that is our own, born from the fruit of our pains, joys , challenges and anguishes. Its the things that stretch us, pushing us beyond limits perceived and beleived, that enable us to taste the nectar of the fruits of our personal wisdom. Whether we are a philosopher, a banker, unemployed, homeless, poor, or incredibly wealthy the challenges are not that different beyond our essential needs.
Who am I? Well I am a therapist, a bit of a philosopher and an essential pilgrim on the path of self awareness and knowledge. I have spent many hours helping people who identify with their lifes problems so much that they lose themselves in the process. The identification with that which is outside of themselves creating an image or persona that is not necessarely the person they actually are.
Everyone who has come to me has been driven by some type of need. the need for happiness, for more fulfilling and gainful employment, for a nurturing relationship, for better opportunities, for emotional freedom, to get out of a rut, to get on top of a health problem. Its exhausting this ongoing thirst for the things of life. We taste one piece and we want more. Being an observer and participant to this has placed me in a position to ask myself "What else is there'.
Well..... There is the search for Truth, for greater understanding, a personal journey enabling us a more spiritual perspective, everyone has a story and an essential desire to grow both emotionally, spiritually and mindfully. In my life journey I have discovered a Tsunami of emerging energy. There is this unseen tide of energy that compels us to grow. It is sometimes very clear and on the surface easy to be seen, though for most of the time it is hidden and finds us through mostly unexpected events, situations and circumstances. We are mostly not ready when the unexpected happens, the experience can be so overwhelming that we are humbled by its power and for a time defined by its momentum as we lose ourselves in it.
There are times when we become lost, lost in ourselves, lost in anothers life and lifestyle, lost in the emotions and reactions of a shadow that resembles us but is not quite us at all. The world around no longer makes sense and we grasp for something to hold onto, something real, some routine that helps define us, something possibly also unrealised.
The striving for its excellence and deeper meaning is exhausting, tiring, relentless and yet sweetly attractive in its untouchable momentum. To embody it would fulfil all our expectations and our needs, it tempts us with its nectar and yet when we try to grasp it or own it , it eludes us and challenges us to step beyond the world we now know and expect.
